What is Weird Things?

"Weird Things" is a cartoon series I've been working on for over 5 years. Originally set to be a fully animated series, I am now considering making it a mixture of animated cartoons and comics. It blends fantasy/sci-fi events with everyday situations. For example, if you forget to study for a history test then you rush out to the nearest time machine and yer off. Or if your friend's going on holiday they might ask you to take care of their pet dragon during their absence. Everyday life with a twist.

But there's another twist. There are no humans in the cartoon. 'Cos I suck at drawing humans. Well... at least that's what gave me the idea to not use humans in the cartoon! Instead, the dominant species are the cats and dogs. And aside any dominant canines and felines, the only other creatures are mythical. Dragons and gryphons make popular pets, unicorns have replaced horses, phoenixes have replaced chickens, and so on. The cats and dogs have evolved very much like humans here - not sure why yet but I'm sure there'll be some explanation of that someday. The series revolves around five friends - two cats, two dogs and a dragon. In the near future I'll have available character sheets, comics, animated sequences and acoustic theme music for all of this.
